You seem them every day on TV or the Internet. You hear about them from friends or colleagues. You know people who were involved in them. Yet, you still do not think they can happen to you. I am talking about car crashes, which often lead to severe injuries, damage of properties, and even deaths. Car accidents occur when a car collides with another car, pedestrian, wall and so on. These crashes are not only a danger for the driver, but also for the other traffic participants. This is why people need to take car crash videos seriously. These videos should ring an alarm, since people need to wake up and realize that if they do not drive carefully, they can get involved in a crash anytime.
The most common causes of car crashes include spending, drinking, careless behavior, old age, lack of focus, road design, poor eye sight, and vehicle problems. The worst part is that many people who get involved in car crashes have no fault. They just drive and mind their own business, when a speeding lunatic crushes into them. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, about 6.5 million car accidents occur every year in the United States. The monetary cost for these accidents is around 250 billion dollars. Approximately 3.2 million people are injured and 45,000 people are killed every year in the U.S. due to car collisions. Moreover, experts estimate that 125 people in the United States died every day from car accidents, which is the equivalent of approximately 1 death every 12 minutes. In the United States, drivers are required to have car insurance to help cover the cost of many unexpected damages and injuries on the road.
Since many drivers rely on the insurance, they have no problem driving irresponsibly. They simply assume that the insurance company will take care of the rest. What if the car crash they have caused results in someone getting severely injured or losing their lives? What will the insurance company do about that? Or better said, what the police will do about that, since the careless driver will have to pay for what s/he did. Car crash videos should be watched to learn a lesson. Even though many young people (especially men) love watching car crash videos just for fun, they should realize that the way they act behind the wheel can lead to serious consequences that no one can predict.

I really think guys have an obsession with crash videos. I noticed that all the men who are close to me: my father, my brother, my friends and my boyfriend, too, can sit down for hours and watch videos of other people crashing their cars. I have to admit that I do not get it at all, but apparently, for them this is something very cool and interesting, because they remain stuck to the TV or to the computer. My boyfriend, for example, loves to see such videos. And the most annoying thing is that he actually makes me watch these short films with him. I do not like to see crashes and I do not understand what is so interesting about them. I have to be honest, one time, I really asked in front of the whole family why are they so charmed by videos in which cars crash and they suddenly shut up and looked at me like I was some sort of alien asking such an incredible question.
Trying to keep people out of trouble, especially her children, is what my mother loves to do. When she found out that my brother was considering becoming a race car driver, she knew that the measures she will have to take will be extreme, in order to prevent him from making such a huge mistake. I mean, if you think about the whole thing, you can see that there are many people who become race car drivers. If it were such a lousy choice, then people would stop making it and, as a result, the race car driver job and all the competitions would disappear. Through this logic, mother realized that she had no chance in taking my brother out of the idea by simply trying to reason with him. She decided to opt for crash videos instead. You may think she can be rather brutal about the matter, but you have to understand that my brother is not that much of driver in general, let alone in a race.
